Is duck a good alternative for a chicken allergy?
Often, yes — duck and fish are common "novel proteins" dogs haven't been exposed to as much, which is part of why they show up so often on limited-ingredient diets. That said, every dog is different, so run it by your vet if you're managing a diagnosed allergy.
Do any of these contain hidden chicken byproducts?
No. We check every ingredient list ourselves before a treat lands on this page — if chicken (or chicken broth, chicken fat, anything chicken) shows up anywhere, it's not on this list.
Are any of the soft treats chicken-free?
All of them. Every Wonder Nuggets flavor we make is built on turkey, pork, beef, whitefish, or peanut butter — no chicken in any of the five.
What about cross-contamination in the kitchen?
We make treats with multiple proteins in the same kitchen on Boston Fish Pier, so we can't promise a completely chicken-free facility. If your dog has a severe, diagnosed allergy, talk to your vet about what level of risk is manageable.
We make treats, not diagnoses — if your dog has a real allergy, your vet's the right call before we are. But if it's chicken you're avoiding, we've got plenty of dog treat that isn't. You are what you treat.
